Come and try the cherries - will be available at Farmers Market 15th November - Spring is a wonderful time to visit Echuca and stay at a  B&B!   Paddlesteamers, boutique shops,  fine restaurants, friendly pubs and welcoming wineries - Echuca has it all!

Echuca Moama is well served by many small, boutique wineries which are often away from holiday crowds. These welcoming wineries offer excellent cellar-door value and high quality wines that you will not find in many suburban bottle shops.

These are the wineries that Echuca-Moama's traditional B&B's recommend to our friends and guests so if you are coming to Echuca give them a try.

Morrisons Winery. Is a perfect lunchtime setting with an excellent menu that deservedly also puts them into the restaurant category.  With views over the Murray River, you can catch a paddlesteamer to Morrisons for lunch. Website is www.morrisons.net.au Cellar door available. Located in Merool Lane, off Perricoota Road in Moama.

Cape Horn Winery. If you want to pack a picnic lunch and visit a winery with the best view over Murray River, then go to Cape Horn. A great range of wines to try. Website is www.capehornvineyard.com.au  Cellar Door available. 13 KM east of Echuca - follow Pakenham Road, which becomes Bangerang Road to the end of the asphalt, turn left and go across Stewarts Bridge. About 4km on the dirt Road but definitely worth it!

Red hot special at the moment from Cape Horn is a museum dozen - 3 durif, 3 shiraz and 6 cab sav from past vintages for $166 - only available from the cellar door!

Silverfox Wines. Another lunch option on weekends, Silverfox serve gourmet pizzas with coffee and cakes at other times during the week. 

An excellent range of wines and ports - their port is offered by a number of local B&B's! Website is www.silverfoxwines.com.au Cellar door available. Located on Perricoota Road, Moama.

Siverfox Wines Sangiovese was written up in RM Williams Magazine as "to die for" - so try it at the cellar door now!

Tisdall Wines. Echuca's largest winery who have a cellar door located in the Port area at Murray Esplanade Cellars. The cellars offer a great range of local wines to choose from (and taste) and their Echuca Cream is a must try for the sweet-tooths! Cellar door available. Located in Murray Esplanade, Echuca.

Chanter Estate Winery & Military Museum. A small boutique winery set in a restored church. For those interested, there is a military museum attached. Good choice of wines. Cellar door available. Located in Chanter Street, Moama.

Monichino Wines. A great winery to visit with Italian heritage. It is further afield being located at Berrys Road, Katunga but certainly worth the trip. Website is www.monichino.com.au Cellar Door available. Ask your B&B for directions.

Hopwood Winery.  This winery tends to focus on export wines were it is very successful but does have a cellar door - always ring to confirm they are open.  Website is www.hopwood.com.au Located west of Echuca on the Murray Valley Highway.

St Anne's Vineyards. An excellent range of wines with a purpose-built cellar door. Website is www.stanneswinery.com.au  Located in 24 Lane, Moama (off Perricoota Road, near Rich River Golf Course).

Jaengenya Wines. Another small, boutique winery with some excellent wines. Website is www.jaengenya.com.au  Cellar door is available but call them first. Located in Pianta Road, west of Echuca.

The Carriages Vineyard. Small, boutique winery specialising in great reds. They are located in Kotta Road, Echuca.  Only open by appointment but their wines can be sampled at Esplanade Cellars. Phone no is 5483 7767.

Skeetas Rest Vineyard. Small, boutique vineyard located in Gulval Lane, Moama. Cellar door but only for phone or email orders. Phone/fax is 03 54822666 while the email address is srvperricoota@bigpond.com

Stevens Brook Estate. This winery has a convenient cellar door in High Street near the Port. Website is www.stevensbrookwines.com

Want to take the hassle out of driving between the wineries. Of course, you can go to Murray Esplanade Cellars and try a number of the local wines and there are several winery tours on offer - for information refer to www.echucamoama.com  - the local tourism website or ask your B&B operator for details.
